At ELC we’re constantly innovating, whether for our clients, our partners, our community or ourselves. We strive to build eloquent code that creates efficiencies for developers, while providing valuable functionality for users. Here are some of our past projects that turned into great products. .

RightCart was a free embeddable shopping cart system that made it easy for content publishers to sell products on their websites. Buy.com acquired RightCart from ELC in August 2007. In November, Buy.com retired RightCart and launched its successor Garage Sale that was jointly developed with ELC.

PayPal Gem was the first Ruby on Rails Gem to integrate PayPal with Ruby on Rails applications. It’s free and still available for download.

Before Leopard, Apple’s Terminal had no tabs. To remedy the situation, ELC created tabTerm. For those of you using an earlier version of OS X, you can still download tabTerm for free. We, of course, think it’s the best solution out there.

PiranhaWAP delivered server status to a mobile device by using advanced WAP and WML technologies to provide maintenance tasking and vital system reports via a WAP-enabled cell phone, PDA or pocket PC.

Sparkler gave users the freedom to perform home automation tasks from a WAP-enabled cell phone or PDA. Sparkler supported basic toggling features for any number of networked devices, from fish tanks to coffee pots to Web servers.
